Choosing a GE Ultrasound Machine

Buying a refurbished GE ultrasound machine can be one of the more confusing experiences because it has five "brands" with many models within each brand. These brands are Vivid (CardioVascular), Logiq (Radiology), Voluson (Women's Health, Venue (Point of Care), and VScan (Handheld). Within these "brands" there are model types: For console machines, these come as E (Expert/Premium), S (Signature/Midrange), and P (Performance/Budget); for portable machines they are lowercase letters e, i, q, and iq. In most cases, the "e" is considered the entry-level, i is more advanced and q/iq are high-end versions.
