GE Vivid T8 Ultrasound Machine

Refurbished

Call to configure, special pricing available 317-759-9210

The GE Vivid T8 ultrasound machine is a “hybrid” unit combining the cardiovascular capabilities of GE’s Vivid ultrasound machines with the general imaging features of the Logiq series. The GE Vivid T8 is an affordable and truly reliable economy grade and multipurpose cardiovascular system designed for reliability in busy environments for cardiac and shared service imaging capabilities.

Ideal for both cardiac and shared services, the GE Vivid T8 ultrasound features advanced technologies such as Tissue Velocity Imaging, AutoEF, SmartStress, Tissue Tracking/Tissue Synchronization Imaging, Automated Function Imaging AFI, Strain/Strain Rate Imaging, and Transesophageal echocardiography.

Price starting at $22,800

The GE Vivid T8 ultrasound system optimizes the image viewing experience with its 19-inch LCD monitor and flexible articulated arm, a large 8.4 inch LCD touchscreen, and 4 active transducer ports. The Vivid T8 is also a lightweight system at 128 pounds, allowing for easy mobility no matter the situation as it was built as a “rugged” ultrasound machine and went through extreme dust and vibration testing in order for it to be used in more demanding situations.

For the shared services technologies, the GE Vivid T8 includes GE’s advanced Vivid and Logiq-series technologies such as:

  • AutoIMT for automatic edge detection
  • B-Flow for advanced spatial and temporal resolution to help assess blood flow and vessel wall structure
  • Virtual Convex to extend the field of view when using linear transducers
  • Blood Flow Imaging for enhanced visualization of blood flow dynamics
  • LogiqView for increasing the field of view when imaging large organs or difficult-to-image patients

Historically, Vivid ultrasounds did not provide much in quality shared-services capabilities. And vice-versa, the Logiq series didn’t provide great cardiac imaging. Some machines performed capable shared-services, but nothing really focused truly on addressing shared services in full. The T8 is designed to address this market with a durable, mobile ultrasound machine.

Shared Services environments often require the machine to be moved to multiple locations. GE placed the Vivid T8 through difficult physical stress testing for vibration, as well as environmental tests in which a large amount of dust was introduced to the environment in which the system was being used.

Tissue Tracking displays Tissue Velocity over time and displays a color band that represents motion or distance during systole, resulting in a display of systolic longitudinal displacement.

TSI is a parametric imaging tool based on Tissue Velocity Imaging that provides additional image enhancement for assessing delayed cardiac wall motion.

Strain Imaging displays regional detection of myocardial contraction. It helps the clinician to analyze tissue contraction and myocardial function.

It is typically used by researchers to measure percent of regional deformation of the myocardium… Strain Rate measures the speed of deformation, while Strain measuers the percent of deformation.

AFI is a semi-automated measurement that displays peak longitudinal systolic strain as a bulls-eye display. It is a clinical support tool for measuring left ventricular function at rest.

2D Strain is a research tool that allows the analysis of complete myocardial motion throughout the entire myocardial motion throughout the heart cycle.

Speckle Reduction Imaging on the GE Vivid T8 portable ultrasound machine uses a special software algorithm to identify body tissue and eliminate artifact. The result provides a clearer image with reduced artifact.
