GE M4S-RS Sector 1.5-3.6 MHz

The Vivid q is a solid choice over the GE Vivid i as it features the M4S-RS Matrix cardiac ultrasound probe, which allows deeper penetration and higher image resolution over the 3S-RS. The image quality for cardiac, venous, vascular, small parts, and a variety of images is excellent for nearfield imaging as well as penetration for difficult-to-image patients and deep tissue.

As a refurbished portable cardiovascular ultrasound machine, the GE Vivid q presents an excellent value and performance over other machines. IN choosing between the Vivid i and the Vivid q, the upgraded cardiac probe is definitely a consideration in choosing the Vivid q. Note that fewer Vivid q’s were made by GE and they can be difficult to find.

Yes, the GE Vivid q can export images to an external DVD-writer, USB Flash memory, or USB connected hard drive for images, backup, and patient data.

Q-Analysis is short for Quantitative Analysis. It includes quantitative assessment tools for LV (Left Ventricular) function. It includes assessment tools such as Tissue Velocity Imaging, Tissue Tracking, Tissue Synchronization Imaging, Strain, Strain Rate Imaging, and 2D Strain.

Tissue Tracking displays Tissue Velocity over time and displays a color band that represents motion or distance during systole, resulting in a display of systolic longitudinal displacement.

TSI is a parametric imaging tool based on Tissue Velocity Imaging that provides additional image enhancement for assessing delayed cardiac wall motion.

Strain Imaging displays regional detection of myocardial contraction. It helps the clinician to analyze tissue contraction and myocardial function.

It is typically used by researchers to measure percent of regional deformation of the myocardium… Strain Rate measures the speed of deformation, while Strain measures the percent of deformation.

AFI is a semi-automated measurement that displays peak longitudinal systolic strain as a bulls-eye display. It is a clinical support tool for measuring left ventricular function at rest.

2D Strain is a research tool that allows the analysis of complete myocardial motion throughout the entire myocardial motion throughout the heart cycle.

Yes, the Vivid q has full network capabilities. Be sure to let your Probo Medical expert representative know in advance that you’ll need DICOM.

CrossXBeam on the GE Vivid q portable ultrasound machine is also known as “compound imaging.” CrossXBeam (pronounced Cross-Beam) allows the ultrasound transducer to see from multiple lines of site at different angles, as opposed to the traditional line-of-site that’s perpendicular to the transducer lens.

Speckle Reduction Imaging on the GE Vivid q uses a special software algorithm to identify body tissue and eliminate artifact. The result provides a clearer image with reduced artifact.

Also known as Tissue Harmonic Imaging, this is a feature that allows tells the ultrasound to use a combination of high and low frequencies, which allows it to better identify body tissue, thereby improving image quality.
